National Airings of "Lady Jessie: A Vietnam Story" Announced

Ruyak Media has announced more dates and markets for the broadcasting of Lady Jessie: A Vietnam Story on PBS stations around the country. The thirty-minute documentary, co-produced with DosEckes Productions, originally aired on KVIE’s Viewfinder. Airings will continue nationwide through the summer as more stations pick it up through the National Educational Telecommunications Association (NETA). To date, Lady Jesse has been scheduled for 109 showings in 40 key markets including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Minneapolis, Cincinnati, along with many others. In Sacramento, KVIE ViewFinder will again feature Lady Jessie during the first week of July, 2020: 7/1, 7/3 and 7/5.

The documentary focuses on Reno’s Jessie Beck and LCDR Richard 'Dick' Perry, from nearby Carlin, Nevada. Lady Jessie traces the true story of their friendship and fate in the era of the Vietnam War. Beck’s generosity during this time of low military morale touched Perry and his squadron-mates in the Ghost Riders and the Saints. The combat pilots flew from the USS Oriskany out of Alameda, California, and from northern California’s Travis Air Force Base.
